Live performances (in person AND virtual) bring us together in joyous celebration - uplifting us, inspiring us, and bonding us.

 

I am a musician, dancer, choreographer, music promoter, and avid concert-goer. I am passionate about creating and evolving the live performance experience - blurring lines to create unforgettable theatrical experiences.

Sarah Elaz is a musician, dancer, choreographer, and promoter based in Brooklyn, NY

She has played bass in variety of projects including SEAP, Boojum, KATZROAR, Near Dead Experience, Bushwick's Dead Family Band, The Slipper People BK, Rennie & Friends, The Dreamland Fire, Carrier BK, Jimmy and THE BAND, and more. She was a resident backup dancer with Miss Dukes Music. Sarah was also a guest dancer with the James Brown Dance Party led by Adam Chase. She has performed at legendary NYC music venues such as Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn Made, The Cutting Room, Rough Trade NYC, Stitch Bar & Blues, the Bowery Electric, Heaven Can Wait, The Well, Wayward Social, and more. Sarah has been featured in music videos for KITTEN The Band, Miss Dukes Music, Jimmy and THE BAND, and Bridgette Barkan. 

Sarah is an activist and dancer in the touring play “SHE: a Choreoplay on sexual violence, Sandra Bland, and healing.” The cast of SHE travels around the country educating audiences about healing from sexual and emotional trauma through physical movement.

Sarah previously worked behind the scenes at FORWARD__Space, an NYC based dance space founded by Kristin Sudeikis. She performed with FORWARD__Space on CNN's 2020/2021 NYE Celebration Special. 

Sarah has danced with Mollet Contemporary Ballet Company, Heath in Progress, Danza Organica, VashtiDance Theater. She has performed works by Sidra Bell, Adrienne Hawkins, Nika Antuanette, Tom Vacanti, and more. She has performed at Jacob's Pillow Summer Dance Festival, Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, American College Dance Festival, Judson Memorial Church, New York Live Arts, Peridance Capezio Center, Ailey Citigroup Theater, and HERE Arts.

Sarah graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with dual degrees in physics and dance. She was the recipient of the "Chancellor's Talent Scholarship" for dance. Her first college work "Duette" was chosen to represent her college and be adjudicated at the regional American College Dance Festival Conference at Boston University. After the initial adjudication process this work was chosen with eleven other works to perform at the conference's final gala. Sarah also trained with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel as part of their Dance Journey Program.
